Sunburns are more commonplace for those with fairer skin but can affect everyone. Sunburns can sneak up on you whether it is a sunny or cloudy day. Being prepared before a day in the sun is the best preventative measure you can take.
Bringing plenty of sunscreen and making sure to reapply during the day is essential in thwarting a sunburn. UV hats and shirts can be worn as well.
The majority of sunburns are 1st Degree burns that are that can be soothed with aloe and other creams. If your skin begins to blister, you have a second degree burn and need to see your medical provider.
