After nearly two decades as a practicing neurologist, I started Urgent Care 24/7 because I knew that the traditional healthcare system, dominated by large insurance companies, was broken. Over 80% of people with insurance never make their annual deductible. This leaves them functionally uninsured. We started in my home town of Savannah, GA, and have now expanded into several states. With Urgent Care 24/7, I wanted a direct and transparent relationship with our patients. Specifically, I wanted a lower-cost model with greater access and, ultimately, better patient outcomes.
Our clinics are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We provide primary and urgent care services with transparent pricing. We also provide prescription drugs at very affordable pricing.
How do we do all this? We eliminate the insurance bureaucracy. Our patients pay us directly. We give them the paperwork they need to file out-of-network reimbursement with their health insurance companies. I believe we can create a better healthcare system. A system that focuses on better patient outcomes and lower costs. Sadly, over 30% of every healthcare dollar is wasted on unnecessary administration. Our direct model eliminates that waste. Plus, we provide 24-hour access. Life is 24/7 and so are we!
